Food Diary Tuesday, May 15

Breakfast
hot flax cereal

Snack
3 slices Swiss cheese from the grocery store deli

Lunch
salad from Chipotle with
lettuce, carnitas, fajita veggies, sour cream, cheese, and green tomatillo salsa**
I really love deli cheese.  Swiss and Muenster are my
favorites but you'll also see me sometimes with white
cheddar, colby, or jack (especially a spicy one!)

Snack
3 slices Swiss cheese from the grocery store deli

Dinner
(pot luck dinner with sorority alums- best guess)**
4 pieces of broccoli with ranch dip
2 pieces of celery with ranch dip
1 Tbsp spinach dip
4 shrimp dipped in cocktail sauce
3 slices ham with 1 Tbsp spicy mustard
Great low carb snack.  You can have
a little cocktail sauce, but it does
have sugar so be easy!
4 Tbsp curry chicken salad
1/2 C broccoli with feta and shallots
1 low carb peanut butter cookie
2 glasses dry red wine
1 glass artificially sweetened peach iced tea

Lots of water all day.

Supplements
fiber- 1 with breakfast, 1 with lunch
L-Glutamine- 1 with breakfast, 1 with lunch
raspberry ketones- 1 with breakfast, 1 with lunch
fish oil- 1 with breakfast, 1 with lunch
B complex- 1 with breakfast

Notes

  • Chipotle has a really awesome Nutrition Calculator that lets you build your meals and it adds the nutrition stats based on what you choose.  I highly recommend that you check it out.  By using it I was able to find that the carnitas are lower in carbs than the other meats, and the green tomatillo salsa has less carbs than the regular salsa.
  • Pot luck dinners are tough because there's a good chance you won't be able to eat most of the food there.  Stick to high protein meats and raw veggies and you'll be okay.  If you must try something that looks delicious (curry chicken salad), just get a small spoonful or try to ask the chef what ingredients are used.  I usually always bring at least one or two dishes that I really like and can fill up on if need be.
