  1. I've really been tossing around the idea of possibly going low carb. I'm going to look and see if I can find and order the book you told me about so I can read it. That will probably be my deciding factor. About How many carbs do you eat a day?

  2. I believe that it is around 20, although I don't do a ton of carb counting anymore. I have things in mental categories: 1. things I don't eat at all, 2. things I can eat in moderation, and 3. things I can eat as much as I want. Categories 1 and 3 are easy to keep track of, and the second one you will get used two with time. When I first started I made little note cards of what veggies, nuts, and seeds were allowed and how much and carried around with me. I've been doing it for so long now I don't really think about it much any more.

  3. The thing that has helped me the most for staying low carb is to cook as much at home from fresh as possible. When I shop I mostly stick to the meat, dairy, and produce aisles and don't buy much else. That way you know exactly what you are getting and how much.
